THE REAL
STORY
Unlocking the Untapped Potential of South Africa’s Excluded Youth
Most universities select the students who are already winning: the best in, the best out. MNIT works the other way. We take the talented young people that system overlooks and choose them on aptitude, regardless of financial means.
Alongside technical training, we develop the whole person through Consciousness-Based Education, which builds focus and resilience, and power skills such as communication, problem-solving and professional conduct. Students study completely free, with no fees, loans or debt.
Backed by the David & Tracey Frankel Foundation (NextUp) and the Maharishi Invincibility Institute, we build our courses with industry partners and connect graduates directly to work placements with them.
Why Our Beneficiary Model Works
- Talent, not wealth. We select students on logical reasoning and persistence, not on what their families can pay.
- Bursaries for every student. Every student we accept can apply for a bursary, so no one is held back by fees.
- Built with partners. We design each programme with the companies that take on our graduates, and connect students directly to work placements with them.
- Pay it forward. Students tutor and mentor those coming up behind them, and students and graduates contribute to the next cohort's studies as they get employment opportunities.
Real Numbers. Measurable Transformation.
Through the integrated Maharishi and NextUp ecosystem, we turn excluded potential into high-earning digital professionals.
